IMG 8671I pick up the guitar and lean back. Thinking of my father and mother who have determined my life. I think of the songs by Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and Johnny Cash. The songs of Elvis Presley, Harry Belafonte, the Beatles, Neil Diamond and Andraé Crouch also influenced each other. I was able to find myself musically in all these singers and that also allowed me to mature. When other people went to discotheques or to parties, I sat at home with my Fender guitar, sang and played the songs of my role models.

What used to be found in my room as a youth? An old radio that I used as a guitar amp, Mickey Mouse Books, Karl May Books, the Bible and a lot of Song Books.

I started writing my own songs very early on.
Edgar Meisenbach, directs the Evangelical Church Choir, that's where I learned a lot and found my love for singing.

Whether I was feeling good or bad, I usually processed it into a song or played a well-known song. I am very thankful that God gave me this talent and when you are given something you have to use it with honor and respect.

For me it was important even in my youth to always sing songs that have a message. In the beginning it was Christian Songs but with ballads that described the problems of life but still took a positive turn at the end.

For me it was always important to point out problems or situations, but still work it out to be positive. That's why I feel most comfortable in Concert Halls and Theaters, because these are the locations where I feel comfortable.

Every music genre is important, including party music, for example. But I've never felt comfortable in this genre and I've gladly left it to others. It's just not my world. I think it's nice that every musician, singer finally finds his own world.

What is ultimately left of all that, that’s one I don’t know. I don't know what posterity will think of it either. But I'm a person who lives now and processes that musically.

I would like to thank my wonderful team and very close friends who have been and are always more by my side. Every day brings changes and the older you get, the faster you think that time is running. I'm just grateful that I can still live, that I don't live in a country where there is War, Famine and so on. In all the difficulties that we live in and that are still to come, we are still better off than many others. I hope that I can still write many more songs and that I can also fulfill my musical dream a little bit. I wish you all that your dreams come true.
