|
Authentic. Honest. Real.
|
The ArtistWolfgang Hildebrandt is a German singer-songwriter, country artist, musician, and producer. His music brings together honest country storytelling, a distinctive voice, and a commitment to peace, freedom, and humanity that has shaped his career from the very beginning. Raised in Euskirchen, Germany, he began playing piano and guitar at the age of six. His musical path first led him to become a lead singer and later a choir director. Rather than pursuing the security of a career as a military-band vocalist, he consciously chose his own path: creating music that moves people and brings them together. In 1997, Wolfgang Hildebrandt received his first recording contract with EMI Records, working successfully with the label through 2005. Today, his name stands for an international career spanning country, pop, gospel, and heartfelt singer-songwriter craftsmanship. Afterward, Wolfgang Hildebrandt worked with Sony Music Group New York and, since 2026, has held a distribution agreement with Universal Music Group New York. |
Music for Peace
On September 11, 2001, Wolfgang Hildebrandt wrote “Let’s Build a House of Peace” as a European expression of solidarity with the people of New York. The recording was made with New York police officer Ann-Marie Moloney and additional NYPD voices at the legendary Electric Lady Studios in New York City.
The CD was later presented by German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder, on behalf of the German government, to U.S. President George W. Bush. The White House thanked Wolfgang Hildebrandt in an official letter.
